About Navika Kogile

Navika Kogile is a celebration of Kannada musical heritage designed for singers of all levels. Named after the sweet-voiced cuckoo bird ("Kogile" in Kannada), this platform aims to discover and nurture vocal talent within the NRI Kannada community.

Founded with the vision of preserving and promoting Kannada musical traditions across the globe, Navika Kogile provides opportunities for artists to showcase their talents, connect with their cultural roots, and share the rich musical legacy with new generations.

Competition Guidelines

Solo Vocals

NAVIKA KOGILE 2025

Registration open to all NRI Kannadigas who are registered attendees for NAVIKA 2025.

🔹 Age Groups (as of Jun 15, 2025)

Group 1 – 08 to 15 Years
Group 2 – 16 to 50 Years
Group 3 – 51 Years and above

🔹 Submission Guidelines

Upload a recorded YouTube video link of Kannada film song using Karaoke
Do not use or add audio effects to your voice recordings
Microphones can be used for recording (not mandatory)
Maximum video length: 4 minutes
Announce participant's name, age and NAVIKA Order registration ID at the beginning (excluded from time limit)
Include participant's name, age, email id, contact phone number and NAVIKA Order registration ID in your email submission

🔹 Competition Format

Preliminary results communicated via email
Semifinals & Finals held live onsite
Top 5 selected from each age group for finals
Finalists chosen by celebrity judges
Committee will determine number of rounds based on participation

Group & Instrumental

SOLO & GROUP PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES

Music entries include solo or group vocal and instrumental performances.

🔸 Eligibility

All participants must adhere to General NAVIKA 2025 Participation Rules
Every group participant must be registered for NAVIKA 2025
Minimum participation age: 6 years

🔸 Performance Requirements

All performances should be presented in Kannada
Teams/Artists are responsible for their props, costumes & makeup
All expenses related to performance borne by the team/artist
Teams/Artists must obtain permission for any proprietary/copyrighted materials
Political/Religious bias in programs are discouraged

🔸 Submission Process

Good quality video/audio submission for audition is mandatory
Send clip in any general AV format with program name
All submissions will be reviewed by the Cultural committee
Exceptions may be made based on time availability, exceptional talent, and program uniqueness
